Maplewood Dance and Function Center is located at 383 Warren Avenue
in Portland, Maine. We offer one of the most comfortable, friendly, and finest places to dance in all of Maine. Maplewood is fully air conditioned and smoke free.
We feature a 3,200 square foot maple dance floor - the largest ballroom dance floor in Maine. You can see

Have you always wanted to learn how to dance? Do you want to improve your dance steps? Do you want to develop more self-confidence? At Maplewood Dance Center,
we teach a wide variety of group and private ballroom dance lessons at the beginner and intermediate levels.

Country dancing has been temporarily discontinued on Friday nights at Maplewood due to lackluster attendance. While we will miss country dancing and the many friends we made throughout the years, we are currently experiencing a heightened interest in ballroom dancing due to popular hit television shows like "Dancing With The Stars and "So You Think You Can Dance". As such, we now offer ballroom dancing on every Friday night. While Wednesday nights continue to be our most popular night for ballroom dancing, Friday nights offer a much quieter, relaxed environment and much more floor space to dance on.
On most Saturdays, we provide ballroom dancing for both singles and couples. We feature both DJ's and bands.

Dance Center of Portland, Maine - Ballroom dancing the way it should be! In order to help protect our beautiful hardwood dance floor, we ask all our patrons to carry in the shoes they intend to dance in and put them on in the lobby. This helps protect our floor from sand, salt, water, snow and other other elements thereby making your dance experience and everyone else's more enjoyable. We Appreciate your Understanding and your Cooperation.
Dances at Maplewood
In addition to our normal ballroom dance socials,
we feature The Tony Boffa Band periodically throughout the year and often have Top Name Dance Pros such as Ron Montez, Jim Maranto and Jenell Maranto
visit us to teach workshops and private lessons. Great Floor, Great music, Great dancing in one of the Friendliest environments around all add up to
